Hebrew Root Dictionary – Letter Alef

The Hebrew Root Dictionary is the first dictionary of the Bible in English based entirely on traditional Hebrew sources. These references are culled from the Classical, Medieval, and Modern eras, spanning 3300 years of study and scholarship. Users will have new access to the deeper meaning of the Hebrew words, through original sources of the meaning of the rootsโ€”the core of the Hebrew languageโ€”to learn the authentic, traditional, and indigenous understanding of the language that the Prophets themselves spoke.

The Hebrew Root Dictionary is part of the Bible4Community project, a revolutionary tool enabling Bible study otherwise not achievable without years of study in seminary. Bible4Community enables users to study Bible in the original Hebrew by breaking the text into its grammatical components with piece-by-piece translation. Along with commenting and networking capabilities, it provides users the ability to maximize their Bible learning experiences, whether they are students, theologians, or career academics.

Rabbi Nahorai Kotkin is a career educator and the Chief Translating Officer for Bible4Community. He received ordination at Yeshiva Universityโ€™s Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary and from Rav Ephraim Greenblatt ztโ€l. He has been involved with educating people of all ages and backgrounds about the nuances of the Bible for over a decade.
